 The law governing fireworks changed in 2004, introducing a number of new regulations to try to minimise the nuisance that can be caused by fireworks.The law is enforced by a number of different agencies and in 2005 Trading Standards set up a 24 hour 7 day a week Telephone Hotline to help people who may be confused about the new regulations or who are unsure of which agency to contact. Siteon runs the Fireworks Hotline, as a Managed Service and it is available to any Council that may be interested in setting up a Hotline or feel that the service will benefit their local residents and traders.
